Hillcrest
Resident’s Association
invites you to a
CANDIDATES
FORUM
WARD 21 ST. PAUL’S
Thursday
November 6 - 6:30 to 8:30 pm
St. Matthews Church
749 St. Clair West at Rushton
“In
the great tradition of Toronto’s residents associations,
over the decades we have been ever vigilant that our neighbourhood
remains an excellent place to live and that change can be
for the better.”
The
Hillcrest Resident’s Association has invited all the
candidates in the upcoming November 10 municipal election
to a forum, to give you an opportunity to speak to them.
They will be making opening remarks and then there will
be ample time for questions.
The issues in our neighbourhood are many: St. Clair streetcar
line redesign, the health of the businesses we all patronise
along St. Clair, homelessness, parks and the future of the
Wychwood Car Barns site.
Don’t forget that our councillor has a voice in the
city wide issues such as taxation, the funding of the TTC,
traffic, air quality, affordable housing, waste disposal,
and so many others.
There are challenges ahead. We urge you to come and participate.
In the near future, we will be looking for members of the
community to sit on our executive. Elections will be held
in the new year. For information about any of the above,
contact Linda Wells, 416-654-2777.
