The
Wychwood Heights BIA (Business Improvement
Area) - which represents the businesses
on St Clair West from Christie to the Loblaws
east of Bathurst - has launched a design
competition.
The
newly formed BIA is using the contest to
help in the development of a visual identity
as the winning design will be used on streetlight
banners the BIA will have erected throughout
the area.
Local
artists and designers are invited to submit
artwork by the May14th deadline - with the
winning entrant being awarded $1,000 - and
the distinction of having their work displayed
in this historic urban setting.
Design
entries should incorporate one of the following
themes:

local shops
-
family
-
diversity
-
artistic history
-
the environment
-
growth
-
colour & life
So
if you have a creative flair, be sure to
give it a whirl.

The
winning submission will be awarded a prize
of $1,000.00. To Enter: No purchase necessary.
To
enter, submit your original artwork (multiple
submissions are permitted).
Contest
open to residents of Ontario age 18 years
or
older.
Entry
must be exclusively your own, original work
and must be received by May 14, 2004.
Whether
or not your become a winner, by entering,
you consent to the reproduction, publication
and use in any format or media, including
the internet, of your entry, name and address
for promotional purposes, without compensation.
1.Entries must reflect our local business

2. Artwork should incorporate one of the
following themes: Local shops, family,
diversity, artistic history, the environment,
growth, colour & life.
3. Actual banner dimensions are portrait
30" x 60".
(please submit reduced artwork).
4.Where possible, artwork should be adaptable
for future BIA logo design.
5.Artwork must include the text Wychwood
Heights.
6. Submissions must include a brief biography,
name,
address, daytime phone number and email
address
(if available).
7. Artwork medium: your preference.
