One of St Clair's Very Own Gets Cooking On TV

Christine Picheca

Very Good Food

We're Talking Homemade

Very Good Food's Christine Picheca can now be seen regularly on Prime TV in a new cooking show called "We're Talking Homemade".

The series, which airs weekly on Saturday's at 9:30 am, celebrates the lives and recipes of six women of different backgrounds.

The show is about more than just food preparation. It is about using cooking and baking as a starting point for educating our children, passing on family traditions and values and as an expression of our feelings for other people.

Very Good Food's Christine shares the kitchen with co-hosts Wanda Beaver (Wanda's Pie in the Sky), Lois Ferguson (Consultant), Julia Hanna (Nonna Mercato), Dinah Koo (Tiger Lily's), Sarah Palter (Robin Hood) and Lisa Rolla (Good Earth Cooking School).

The executive producers of the show are Marty Galin & Avrum Rosensweig, perhaps best known for their weekly show on CFRB as well as the TV series "Beer Buddies".

So take 30 minutes for yourself every week to tune in to "We're Talking Homemade" where you'll learn about recipe secrets, share life stories and laughter and enjoy some 'very good food'.

Very Good Food

Very Good Food is the brainchild of Owner and Executive Chef Christine Picheca. Her catering philosophy is simple: custom designed menus that
provide top quality food at affordable prices.

Christine takes pride in personally creating each menu executed at Very Good Food. She pays careful attention to each client's vision, style and tastes and then custom designs menus to suit each client's specific needs.

Christine's career in the culinary arts has spanned over a decade. It has included stints at Mildred Pierce; teaching opportunities at the Stratford Chef School and the Tea Spot; and media attention from such Toronto outlets as NOW Magazine, Starweek and Food Arts. She has made appearances on Alliance Atlantis' The Lofters and in CBC's Canada NOW.

Christine is gratified to be able to count among her long list of private and corporate clientele, the Canadian Opera Company, CanStage, the Christine Cushing Show, Pearson Educational Publishing, Del Pharmaceuticals, Minacs Corporation, Rogers Communications and Senator Charles Caccia.
