Subject: St. Clair maybe not!!!

Hi

I live at the corner of St Clair /Warren Rd. across from the Timothy Eaton Church. This intersection is one of the most dangerous in the city as I have personally witnessed at least 5 accidents within the past year.

Just this morning a pedestrian was hit very hard and I pray that she was not seriously injured.
There is traffic going East / West , North / South & Right / Left without any signal lights. It's absolutely CRAZY!!!!
For years we have petitioned to have lights put at this intersection only to no avail.

How many accidents have to happen? How many lives have to be lost before anyone takes notice? I realize the traffic is at and all time high. I have lived on St.Clair for over 15 years and the traffic has only gotten worse.

Has anyone considered scrapping the streetcars and having more buses instead? Having pedestrians waiting for streetcars in the middle of the road is life threatening! How many countless sheltars have been knocked over and guard rails banged into?

You are not going to get more people taking the TTC if it causes just as much of an inconvenience to them ie:No seating, overcrowed cars, rude obnoxious inconsiderate people, more time spent standing out in the cold.
Hey, I would rather leave earlier and sit in the warmth and comfort of my car with no hassles.

The streecar proposal is not the answer!!!No way!!! If you think we have grid lock now?
Well, Good luck!! We'll only find more cars taking the side roads!!  St.Clair is as busy as the 401 and thanK god the speed limit is only 50 but then again is it???

Regards
Sharon
