What is Toastmasters?
“I do not object to people looking at their watches when I am speaking. But, I strongly object when they start shaking them to make certain they are still going.”
- Birkett, William Norman, 1st Baron of Ulverston
We have all had moments like the Baron, when we are trying to communicate something we feel is important, and one sees the glazed look come over the audience members’ eyes. Toastmasters helps people learn to speak effectively, conduct meetings, lead and motivate! Club meetings create a supportive environment, where evaluations are given after each speech pointing out our strengths and giving us pointers on how to improve for the next speech.
Join the long list of accomplished Toastmaster members (below). Although, Toastmasters is not just for those wishing to become leaders in their field, it is also there to help anyone who is wishing to improve their personal communication skills, no matter what their level.
