Regal Heights Village BIA launches a TTC petition

In response to the TTC announcement to end the 2 hour time based transfer along St. Clair Avenue, the Regal Heights BIA has launched an online petition to overturn this decision. They say:

The Regal Height Village Business Improvement Area is strongly against the discontinuation of this service as it has not only been a benefit to the businesses along St. Clair Avenue West, but a huge benefit to the community at large. With the loss of this program, there is the potential for a decline in business and activity in our area.

TTC announces changes to 512 St Clair streetcar service

With the introduction of new accessible and air-conditioned low-floor streetcars to its 512 St Clair route on Sept. 3, the TTC has announced it will eliminate the two-hour time-based transfers on the route.  According to the TTC, operators on the new streetcars cannot issue paper transfers to customers.

As with all other TTC routes, fares are valid for one continuous trip. Customers will be required to pay again if they choose to end their journey along the route for any length of time.
